The NIH REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) DIRECTORY has been established to provide Internet users with quick and easy access to RFP solicitations available at the NIH.
Within the RFPs AVAILABLE by Institute subdirectory, direct links to all currently active electronic Request for Proposals (RFPs) issued by the NIH are provided. RFPs in this directory have been divided up by the appropriate issuing Institutes, Centers or Divisions (ICDs) of the NIH. All RFPs listed in this directory have been previously advertised in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts and the Commerce Business Daily (CBD). Electronic RFPs are posted on or about the issuance date published in the CBD and NIH Guide, and will remain on this web site until shortly after the due date for proposal.
Amendments to an electronic RFP will also be posted on this site. Offerors are asked to periodically check this web site for potential RFP amendment issuances. However, if offerors wish to receive notification of the issuance of an amendment, a written request (fax or email would be acceptable) must be submitted to the Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer identified in the RFP.
Please note that although this web site contains NIH RFPs which are issued electronically, it represents only a moderate portion of the total number of RFPs available at the NIH. Depending on the requirement and in some cases the issuing offices, electronic issuances may not be practical. For a complete account of all of the RFPs available (electronic or paper versions) at the NIH, please refer to the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) and/or the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts.
In addition to the RFPs AVAILABLE by NIH Institutes, the NIH RFP Directory also includes a subdirectory entitled "Streamlined RFP References" which contains solicitation/contract information, instructions and forms required for the Streamlined RFP acquisition process, from proposal preparation to award of a contract. Each Streamlined RFP document will indicate what information in RFP REFERENCES section applies to that particular RFP.
Updates to these Streamlined RFP References will be made as necessary without specific notification. Please note that the NIH considers items in these sections, as of the date of the initial RFP posting, to be those instructions applicable to proposal preparation unless otherwise indicated in a specific amendment to the RFP.
[Note: Not all NIH ICDs issue Streamlined RFPs. Offerors should read each RFP carefully to ensure that they are collecting the appropriate RFP reference materials.]
Lastly, the subdirectory entitled "Other Acquisition Links and Information" includes a listing of some selected Web Page links which contain important acquisition information. This subdirectory, along with the file entitiled "Instructions to NIH Staff", are provided to you as general information about the acquisition process.
General questions concerning this NIH RFP Website should be directed to the NIH RFP Webmaster.
Specific questions concerning the content of individual RFPs should be directed to the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist point of contact identified in RFP.
